Focus statement:  Overcome evil with good.

Peace toolbox: The tool in our peace toolbox this week is a branch. Peace doesn't just happen by itself. We need tools to help us make peace at home, at school, at work, and in the world.

Childcare during worship is available for infants and toddlers (generally ages three and under) in the nursery through the back doors of the sanctuary.  Children's bulletins and toys are available at the sanctuary entrance.

Stewardship investing: You can see what it means to make investments guided by faith by reading Mark Regier's blog, In Good Faith. Mark is MMA's stewardship investing services manager and his blog is part of MMA-online.org. go to the MMA Community header then to the blogs section.

Central Christian is searching for an individual willing to coach the girls' tennis team this fall. Anyone interested in the position should contact the athletic director for more information or go directly to the school's website (ccscomets.org) and fill out an application. Applications or inquiries are needed ASAP.

Two events for Camp Luz ; Saturday, August 16, 2008
Bike for Camp Luz! A one-day family event for all ages and skill levels, three routes available; 9 miles, 30 miles and 50 miles. Limited lodging is available for Friday night and a continental breakfast will be served Saturday morning. All proceeds will benefit the Camper and Staff Scholarships. $25/person, $35/family.

Luz Fest! A Christian music festival featuring great music, fun activities and awesome worship! Activities begin at 2 pm and concerts begin at 4 pm. $10/ person on arrival. A concession stand will be available. All proceeds will benefit the ministries of Camp Luz. (Bikers: for an additional $5 you can participate in Luz Fest!).

ATTENTION GIRLS (Grades 3-8).
You are invited to attend the Girls Jamboree at Camp Luz on August 8-10, 2008. Tara Steiner, Youth Pastor at Orrville Mennonite Church, will be speaking on "God's Girls School - Fashion Design". The weekend will include lodging, meals, music, crafts, a service project, games, swimming and boating.  Camp Luz is a great place for this event and the cost is only $20 per camper!  Registration information has been mailed to your church in May. Please contact Hannah Gehman if you need a registration packet or further information at 330-857-7677 or .  Registration is due August 1, 2008.

Mennonite Mission Network Prayer Request: Pray that the Radical Journey participants, who have returned this summer to minister in their home congregations, may integrate their experience of seeing God at work and inspire others to join the journey.
